Wellman's Club Videos

01 Full.jpg

It's been too long. Since COVID-19 hit we haven't really been able to do much. After a short unexpected break due to the first lockdown last year, we got together and started rehearsing again. We wrote some new music and were excited to go back into the studio to record. Then literally the night before we were scheduled to begin recording, the Welsh Government announced the new lockdown which we are currently still in. Our spirits were at an all time low. No gigs. No new record. No singles. Nothing...

Until the very kind Imogen Trohear-Evans (Liam's sister) gave us copies of some videos she recorded from the Wellman's Social Club gig back in March 2020. She recorded four out of six songs from our set that night. Those will be made available on the ORINJ YouTube channel tomorrow on the first of February. Which coincides beautifully with the one year anniversary of our first singles. We know it's not much but it's something to let you know we're still alive and still planning. The videos include two songs which have not yet been released. 'Rays' and 'Lemon Dreams'.

We hope you enjoy. See you soon.

'Winter' on BBC Radio Wales

p01td2g2.jpg

Well that was a surprise! On the day we released the singles we got an e-mail from the BBC letting us know that Adam Walton would be playing us that night on his radio show. He let us know on our Twitter page that he would be playing us again the next Saturday!

We got played between Julian Cope and Art School Girlfriend which was a bit mental. Aside from that - make sure to listen to Adam Walton's show on BBC Radio Wales at 10 PM on Saturday 8th of Februrary! Also the link to last Saturday's show is here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m000dz24

There's some pretty great stuff on there that we're sure you'll like.

First Singles

They're here. Well... Almost. We finally finished our first singles and they'll be releasing on February 1st 2020. They'll be available for streaming on Spotify and Apple Music as well as basically anywhere you get your music digitally.

The first single is called Winter. That one's in English and it's one track. The second one is called Llonydd / Amser. It's a two track single in Welsh. There are links on our music page or just search ORINJ on your preferred platform.

We recorded the instrumentals back in August 2019 and we recorded vocals a few months later. We're so excited for people to hear them. Keep an eye (and an ear) out.

Oh. And if you're new to us (but this is mostly to please the damn SEO policy) we're an alternative rock band from North Wales. There. That should please them.
